YOUTH SAFETY

Did you know that all Clergy and Youth Workers (Volunteers and paid Staff) in the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America must complete a mandatory background check and online youth safety training?

All Clergy who serve a parish and all lay people who have a position/role working with Children or Youth, and all Parish Council members are required to complete a simple three step process: 

Register – Screen – Train.

1. Register as a Youth Worker with Sterling Volunteers at this link: youthsafetyplatform.goarch.org

2. Complete the online criminal background screening. (10 minutes, every 2 years)

3. Complete the required online Youth Safety training. (1-2 hours each year)
